The outer material is windproof and water-resistant, and the fingers made of Naturetec Light softshell material offer maximum freedom of movement. When you are moving, warm air can quickly and easily escape through a hidden ventilation opening on the back of the hand; the overlapping opening stays closed when you are standing still.

The special highlight: The integrated, retractable glove covers made of robust PERTEX QUANTUM PRO material can be quickly and easily pulled over the glove to provide additional protection against snow, wind and cold during descents. I have the coldest hands and I really like this glove. I have used the standard Ortovox tour glove for years and love it. This glove fits the same, and seems to be a bit more breathable, but also slightly less warm than the standard tour. That is until you put the cover mitt on! I love this feature! You can't feel it when its tucked away but when you come around a corner or top out a ridge and the wind picks up it makes a huge difference when you put the cover on. I have been using these all winter ski touring and they have been amazing. On cold days I still need to wear a warmer glove to ski down but even on a cold day these are usually great for me on the uphill. I am a full time mountain guide and member of the Ortovox team.
